Obituaries

Lucille Schlosser ('33), 93, of East Side Manor, Fayetteville, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Crouse Hospital. Lucille was born in Syracuse, the daughter of Louis and Susie Allen Schlosser. She was a 1933 graduate of William Nottingham High School, attended Syracuse University and graduated from Trap Haggen School of Design in New York City. Lucille began her career as an interior decorator at Richardson Store and later was a buyer for C.W. Chappell and Sons in Syracuse for 35 years. Her favorite pastime was traveling to Saratoga each August with her close friend, Will Liddiard, to enjoy the thoroughbred races. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Ruth Schlosser Egan; her grandmother, Anna Carpenter; and her close friend, Will Liddiard. She is survived by her niece, Jennifer Egan of Syracuse; her nephew, Jeffrey Egan of Cazenovia; two great-nieces, Mee Hye Swizdor and Jin Sook Swizdor; and great-nephew Bhola Swizdor.
