Obituaries

Robert Blumenthal ('58), 71, died Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Crouse Hospital. Born in Kalamazoo, MI, he had lived in Syracuse since early childhood. Robert was a graduate of Nottingham HS and Syracuse University. He was an independent agent for the New England Life Insurance Company and also managed his residential properties in Albany. Mr. Blumenthal was a former trustee of the village of Fayetteville and a member of the Zen Center of Syracuse. He is survived by his daughter, Shari (Corey) Schneider of Scarsdale; his grandchildren, Cooper, Riley, and Jaxon; his longtime companion, Arlene Abend; his sister, Robbie Deaton of Memphis; and Georgia Rodriquez, his dedicated caregiver and friend

Holstein

Donald H Holstein ('58) passed away April 14,2009. He retired from Marine Midland/HSBC in 1994 as a vice president and then went to work as a service manager for Chase in Dewitt. He is survived by Nancy Grossman Holstein ('62) and son Richard, an attorney in Buffalo.

 

 

John Edwards Gorman (’58), 68, of Venice, FL, died July 8, 2008. He was employed by New York Electric and Gas in Dryden for 37 years before moving to Florida in 2004. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Stacy, one daughter and one son, and several grandchildren.
