Valeria
Diane Tisdall Perez ('72), 56, of Syracuse,
passed away at Crouse Hospital July 22, 2011. She was a life
resident of Syracuse, a graduate of Nottingham High School, and
received her nursing degree from Bryant & Stratton. Mrs. Perez
worked at Rockwell and Carrier as a machinist. Mrs. Perez was a
LPN for over 27 years at James Square and Van Duyn. Valeria was
a member of Grace Episcopal Church and Mt. Carmel Seventh Day
Adventist Church, being a member for 15 years. She served on
various committees doing whatever her hands found her to do.
Valeria's ministries include prayer coordinator leader,
community service, Deaconess, choir member, Women's Ministry
Team, worship committee coordinator, and senior committee
person. Predeceased by her parents, Helen and Allan Tisdell.
Survivors: her husband of 29 years, Dennis; sisters, Gertrude
Danzy and Lorraine Tisdell; son, Ourondo (Lariana) Perez;
mother-in-law, Dorothea Perez; special niece, Leondra (Gerald)
Seals; special sister-in-law, Angela Johnson; special cousin,
Minister Wilhelmina Dey; two grandchildren, Safian and Lenayah
Perez and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins
Marianne
"Mimi" Murray (nee Sinopoli) ('72), 56, died Tuesday,
April 12, 2011, at home in Thornton, PA, surrounded by her
loving family. Born in Syracuse to Richard V. and Olga Sinopoli
(nee Stevens), she graduated from Nottingham High in 1972 and
the University of Rochester in 1976, with dual Bachelor of
Science degrees in psychology and biology. She earned a master's
in nutrition from Syracuse University in 1978. Survived by her
high school sweetheart and husband of 31 years, Clem Murray; two
sons, Rich and Greg; sister, Kathie Sinopoli; and aunt, Mary
Stevens of Fayetteville, NY; uncle and aunts, Ray and Marian
Black and Angie Sinopoli of Syracuse, aunt Philomena Fuoco of CA
Pauline Rosenthal Share (’41), 82, died March 4, 2006, of complications due to a stroke. She was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Alan (’39); her children: Steven (’71), Susan (’72), Harlan (’76), Ira (‘78) and Hugh (’79).
Gary L. Meren ('72) 56, died very unexpectedly Saturday evening, January 15, 2011. Formerly of Syracuse, he had moved to Brookline, MA, this past June. He was a 1972 graduate of Nottingham High School. He was a sorter with the U.S. Postal Service at Taft Road for 30 years. Survived by his mother, Celia; his sisters, Bobbi Hope and Barbara (Hanukah) Moalem; and seven nieces and nephews.
