Timothy R. Cleaver ('85), 44, life resident of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2009,  at University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born June 6, 1965, the son of Fred and Hazel Cleaver, he was the oldest of four siblings. Tim attended Percy Hughes Elementary and Shea Middle School, graduating from Nottingham High School in 1985. He was a member of the Spina Bifida Association of CNY and played for the Syracuse Flyers Wheelchair Basketball Team. He enjoyed fishing with his dad and camping outdoors. Tim liked listening to country music. Tim enjoyed visits with his family; his favorite holiday was Christmas Eve at home. He especially loved spending time with his best friend, his mother, whose dedication and unconditional love gave him the strength and courage to overcome many of life's obstacles and challenges. He made all around him laugh and cry, but most importantly he provided life lessons for all to learn from.
