From Desiree (Halbert) Yakey-Wiley (’04): Hi! I just heard about this site from someone and I wanted to know let you that myself - Desiree (maiden name -Halbert) Yakey-Wiley class of 2004 and Stephen Yakey-Wiley ('03) eloped and got married on February 7, 2009. We met in high school and have been together since 2005. We are planning a party this summer (2009) to celebrate!
Three years after Silas Collier ('03) died, nearly 75 friends and relatives gathered to remember him, remind people of his unsolved murder and call for an end to violence in Syracuse. The 21-year-old Syracuse man, known by the nicknames “Keith” and “Slice,” was shot a little before midnight on May 12, 2007.

Jerold John "J.J." Settineri II ('03), 24, of Eastwood, was reunited with his mother when he passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010.
J.J. was a graduate of Nottingham High School and SUNY Albany, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business communication.
J.J. was a one-of-a-kind person who will always be remembered for his ability to light up a room with a big smile and making the people around him laugh.
He was loved by all who met him and was well known for putting the needs of his family and friends well above his own.
J.J. was predeceased by his mother, Patricia Settineri, in 1988. He is survived by his father, Jerold Settineri of Syracuse; two brothers, Jamie and Jianni of Eastwood;
his grandparents, James and Jean Settineri of North Syracuse; several aunts, uncles and cousins; countless friends; as well as his partner, Natasha McGraw.
Kelly Farmer (’03), 24, drowned June 24, 2009, in Hiawatha Lake in Syracuse. She was walking by the lake with her 7-year-old niece when she fell, hit her head, and slipped into the lake. An aerospace engineering graduate student at SU, she is survived by her father, and siblings James and Angela Dubose and Shane Farmer.
Tiffany Danielle Heitkamp (’03), 20, died July 23, 2006, as the result of a tragic boat accident near Old Forge. The driver of the boat was charged with several felonies. Tiffany attended Onondaga Community College and Palm Beach Community College in Florida. She worked at her father’s auto shop, Gary’s Auto.
